Finance Associate Job DescriptionDESCRIPTION:
AKE Safety Equipment is a market-leading fire safety equipment manufacturing and sales company.
We are looking for someone who is professional, reliable, and detailed oriented to fill a Finance Associate position in Rochester, MN.
We operate on a national scale, targeting customers who farm and reside in agriculturally productive areas of the U.
S.
Our Finance Associate will be responsible for providing financial, clerical and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely and accurate day to day transactions, as well as improve and update processes.
They will assist in all areas of finance.
This role requires quick adaptation to change and has the ability to keep the success and forward movement of the business as the ultimate top priority.
Responsibilities:
Process bi-weekly payroll for employees Prepare year end W2 statements Updates payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, deductions and additions Accounts payable functions; enter, process and pay vendors Assemble, review and verify invoices and check requests Sort, code and match invoices, up load information into tracking system Enter in credit card receipts, track expense and process expense reports Correspond with vendors and respond to inquires Journal entries Assist with end of month close Bank reconciliations Assist with finance department in compliance with financial policies and procedures Assist in all areas of the finance department; consisting of but not limited to; filing, accounts receivable, invoicing, inventory REQUIRED SKILLS:
High character and integrity Neat, clean, detail oriented, and quality conscious Self-motivated, initiative, meet deadlines Excellent organizational and prioritization skills Sincere sense of customer care Communicate with customers and coworkers calmly and effectively in a polite & friendly manner and professionally represent the Company at all times At least 2 years of Finance related experience OTHER JOB

Able to multi-task in fast paced and demanding environment Able to put in the hours to get the job done Solid understanding of accounting processes, sales, customer service (the big picture) Strong communication and writing skills Advanced skills in QuickBooks and Excel Complete discretion and confidentiality
