Summary:
Plan, schedule, coordinate, and monitor the flow of products through the complete production cycle.
Provide timely planning and scheduling of manufacturing work orders to the manufacturing floor to achieve both customer delivery dates and financial goals.
Communicate and work with stakeholders to resolve constraints to meet customer delivery.
KEY
Responsibilities:
Converts Master Production Schedule (MPS) into weekly and daily production plans.
Analyzes back orders, current orders, and upcoming orders to prioritize, plan, and schedule the production operations.
Runs shortage reports to monitor material supply flow and identify any shortages or bottlenecks in usage.
Works with the inventory control team to identify, expedite, and resolve problems relating to inventory.
Works with operations on resource capabilities and manpower to achieve scheduling deadlines.
Facilitates weekly production planning meetings and present schedules to managers and supervisors.
Acts as part of the team coordinating engineering changes, end of life products, product line extension, or new product launches to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions.
Performs planning simulations using varying capacity rates, manpower, and demand levels.
Crosstrains in other planning functions and serve as backup for other planners.
Makes recommendations for continuous improvement to meet customer demand and delivery dates.
Works closely with the internal sales team to consistently meet our customer needs and demands.
Recommends solutions to reduce production costs as well as improve production processes and product quality.
Works with the commercial team, engineering, and other stakeholders on new product introduction.
Communicates production status to the internal sale team and customers on a regular basis.
Analyzes delays and interruptions and accordingly adjusts production schedule to meet deadlines.
Compiles status and performance reports and submits them to management in a timely manner.
Promptly informs the relevant departments of changes to current production schedules.
Produces reports based on findings and performance of production.
Evaluates resource needs to meet production requirements.
Promptly addresses and resolves production issues to minimize delays in production.
All other duties as assigned.
KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
Demonstrates critical thinking and abstract reasoning abilities.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
In-depth knowledge of MRP, ERP, production processes, and quality control tools.
Ability to interact well with internal and external customers.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to read and write effectively in English.
Proficient use of computer systems and software applications.
Microsoft Suite experience required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field.
APICS certification is a plus.
WORKING CONDITIONS/OTHER:

hours per week, Monday - Friday No travel required.
