We are hiring for multiple shifts for part time availability.
MUST be able to work a mix of weekdays and weekends Full time opportunities available for the right fit and hours.
Summary:
Responsible for the care and handling of play groups.
We operate 365 days a year; employees are expected to work weekends and holidays in all types of weather.
Approximately 60% of your time will be standing on your feet supervising play groups and cleaning up waste indoors and outdoors or running the nap room, 20% will be crating, feeding and bringing dogs to and from owners, and the remaining 20% is spent on general cleaning of the facility.
Levels of responsibility will increase according to the level of the employee.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the follow (other duties may be assigned):
Caring for and supervising play groups of dogs including, interacting with dogs, brushing, petting, lifting, crating, leashing, collaring, clothing (when jackets are needed), applying first aid, feeding, medicating, cleaning up after dogs, etc.
Maintaining a clean and organized nap room, running dogs to and from play group, supporting assistants in play group, and supporting front desk Administering lunch, medications, and other meals to dogs as necessary Administer one on one add on services including bathing, nail trims, training tutor, and enrichment training.
Works as a team member with others and management in providing dog day care program and sleepover services.
Helps to ensure that customer satisfaction is consistently obtained.
Helps to support the efficient and effective operation of the facility.
Helps to maintain the highest company standards in the delivery of all services.
Is directly responsible for duties as assigned by management.
Cleaning duties such as cleaning up dog waste, sweeping, mopping, dusting, disinfecting, shoveling, cleaning crates, washing dishes, doing laundry, and bathing dogs.
Is directly responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment at all times for the dogs in our care.
Is directly responsible for providing and documenting the appropriate information about individual dogs under his/her supervision on the shift change report and at the end of each group rotation.
Is responsible for reading and knowing all Company Policies and Procedures.
Responsible for completing minimum training requirements within first 60 days of employment.
Qualifications:
THIS IS NOT JUST PLAYING WITH AND PETTING DOGS.

Age:
Prefer 18 years of age or older, but will consider the right candidate at 16 or older.
Transportation:
Must have reliable transportation to work including in inclement weather.
Education and/or
Experience:
Dog handling skills and experience are not necessary but taken into consideration.
Skills may be in the form of pet ownership, previous pet ownership, working with animals and attending dog training and/or behavior seminars.
Training sessions and seminars may be scheduled during non-working hours where your attendance may be required.
The most important attributes are the ability to learn, communicate, maintain a positive attitude, ask for help, and be reliable.
Physical Skills:
Ability to perform a variety of demanding physical activities, including lifting a minimum of 50 pounds (whether it is a bag of dog food, a crate or a dog), standing for long periods of time (expected to be able to be on feet for entire shift) and working in any weather when needing to take dogs out.
Ample dexterity and finger mobility are also needed to leash and collar dogs as well as opening and closing crates, fences, etc.
Health:
:
It is required that all employees are current on their Tetanus vaccination and physically healthy enough to perform duties Language Skills.
Ability to read dog information including names, medication and feeding instructions, schedules and the like.
Be able to communicate dog issues with management either via written or oral communication.
Computer Skills:
A basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications, social media, and word processing is preferred.
Reasoning Ability:
An ability to define problems, analyze emergencies and think on your feet.
Dogs can get into scuffles at any time and it is the employees' job to keep everyone safe.
Reading dog's behavior and catching key indicators of possible conflict is a must to insure safety and well-being of the playgroup.
Safety of everyone is always the number one priority.
BEING PROACTIVE INSTEAD OF REACTIVE.
On-the-job training and shadowing is provided.
