The HR manager assists with the ActivePT's onboarding process, Compliance Program, functioning as an independent and objective individual.
He/she assists the Compliance Officer within the Compliance Program.
He/she reviews and evaluates human resource issues/concerns within the facility.
The HR manager reports to the Director of Operations.
INTRINSIC
Responsibilities:
The HR Manager helps to ensure that the workforce as well as key management and the Board of Directors comply with the ActivePT's Code of Conduct, facility policies and procedures and local, state and federal rules and regulations that govern businesses providing health care services and products.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Leads onboarding process for all new employees Develops, reviews, and modifies the Compliance Program based on organizational needs, risks, prevailing regulations and payer requirements.
Staying up to date on current health-related news and policies (e.
g.
Covid policies) to establish company-wide procedures.
Assists with exit interviews and documenting information discussed with employees.
Mitigate audit risk by optimizing compliance tools, identifying deficiencies and implementing corrective actions.
Assists in taking effective action on reports of Compliance Program violations and/or Standards of Conduct complaints or problems.
Helps investigate workplace issues with professionalism and sensitivity and detailed incidents in reports to senior executives.
Supports implementation of the Compliance Program and assures its effectiveness.
Maintains current knowledge and an understanding of regulatory requirements and guidelines as they relate to outpatient therapy practices.
Assures effective integration & management of federal and state regulations into the Compliance Program and daily operations.
Helps to develop, coordinate and participate in Compliance Program training and educational programs for ActivePT's staff.
Assisting with recommended plans of action to the Board of Directors/Owners and the Compliance Committee.
Helps oversee and/or supervise day-to-day compliance activities, procedures and operations.
Institutes and maintains an effective compliance communication program for the organization, including promoting:
Use of the Compliance Hotline; Heightened awareness of Standards of Conduct, and Understanding of new and existing compliance issues and related policies and procedures.
Attend and assist at the Compliance Committee Semi-Annual Meetings (or other called meetings.
Facilitates and/or cooperates with external reviewers.
Assists with keeping KnowBe4 user accuracy POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree or preferably degree in healthcare Healthcare compliance certification(s) and/or verifiable education in the healthcare compliance field
Experience:
Two to Three years of experience within Human Resources (prefered in healthcare) with demonstrated efficacy as a leader and a communicator PHYSICAL DEMAND CAPACITY:
Consistent with published industry PDC norms or minimally:
Sitting---routinely for 1-2 hours uninterrupted Lifting---occasionally light loads (5-10 pounds) Bending & reaching--routinely for office duties Walking--routinely to access workforce, etc.
Viewing monitor screen/using keyboard--routinely >1 hour duration EXPOSURE DETERMINATION:
Has the potential for Hazardous Substance Exposure due to work duties Has thepotential for Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure due to work duties HIPAA STATUS:
