Drivers transport individuals to and from ABC, various job sites, and other locations as assigned.
Drivers at ABC learn proper lifting, positioning, and transferring techniques to assure safe mobility assistance for individuals.
The driver in this position will work part-time, varied afternoon hours Monday through Friday, approximately 12:
30-3:
30pm.
High school diploma, with preference given to persons with experience in working with persons with developmental disabilities.
Must possess a valid driver's license, meet standards set by the agency's insurance carrier, be insurable, and have personal vehicle insurance.
Must have or achieve certification in CPR, First Aid, PIA, and Defensive Driving within licensing and/or insurance-required timeframes, and successfully pass DOT physical and Non-DOT drug screening upon hire.
(Please note that DOT drivers must be 23 years of age or older.
) Must be able to pass a Department of Human Services background study.
