The candidate will be responsible for writing, filing, and prosecuting patent applications in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Will lead and mentor a work group of early career Patent Engineering Professionals and an IP Legal Assistant in the preparation, filing, and prosecution of U.S. patent applications and work on developing the best process for doing such patent procurement work in a high volume mode. Will also be responsible for reviewing invention disclosures and patentability search results, drafting patent applications, and the eventual prosecution of patent applications filed in the USPTO. Also mentor others on the patent application drafting and prosecution process and communicate with others in company to optimize the patent application preparation and prosecution process to achieve the quality and cost objectives of the company Patent Center. Patent application drafting, prosecution, and communication and mentoring skills are needed for this lead position to work with team members, inventors and intellectual property professionals throughout company.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
